Choosing Concrete As Your Restaurant’s Floor

There are very few materials in the market that can actually live up to such standards. One of such materials is concrete. Using concrete can cater to all sorts of floor expectations. In fact, if used with varnishing or polishing, these surfaces need little maintenance, and are very easy to clean. They can also offer slip-resistance with creative texturing.

Restaurant floors have several standards to meet. They should be durable to endure the food carts and foot traffic. They should be able to fend off grease, spills, etc. Apart from this, they must also be slip-resistant to evade injuries to the clients and staff. And lastly they must be created (textured, patterned or colored) to accompany the restaurant’s theme.

Here are two ways through which concrete floors can be enhanced:

Staining:

Stained concrete amalgamates both functionality and beauty. Concrete staining offers a lush richness that can’t be obtained by any other medium of coloring. Moreover, stain can be easily applied to most surfaces, making it the best solution for refreshing dull concretes.

Polished Concrete:

Polished concrete is becoming the most sought after flooring material. With the recent developments in polishing techniques and equipment, concrete polishing providers are now grinding floor surfaces, old or new, to a glossy finish that does not require coatings or waxes.

Factor in the performance and superior durability, and it's no surprise why so many restaurants and hotels are opting for this form of flooring as a substitute to granite, marble, tile, coated concrete or linoleum. In fact, even homeowners are getting attracted towards these high-luster, smooth floors that can be tainted to imitate the appearance of polished stone.

Getting a customized look to a hotel or restaurant floor is extremely important. Custom logos, color-matching, creative patterns, and textures are a few things that attract restaurant owners to select concrete as their final surface.
